Global Missions

Jesus says, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:19) First Baptist is happy to support many missionaries and ministries, including the following:

  • Mark Norris

    Missionary with Outpour Movement

    in Thailand

Mark is one of our own - he grew up in our church and we are very proud of his obedience to Christ's call on his life! Click his picture to read his blog or click the Outpour Movement link above to find out more about this ministry in Thailand.

  • Rodrigo and Carol Barrera

    Missionaries in Guatemala

Rodrigo and Carol are also missionaries from our home church. They work with Wycliffe to translate the Bible into the native language of the people they minister to in Guatemala.

  • Madeline Flores-Lopez

    Missionary in Dominican Republic

Madeline serves as the coordinator of mission volunteers and groups throughout the Caribbean. Madeline’s passion for missions began when she attended her first World Mission Conference in 1990. Ten years later, at the World Mission Conference in 2000, Madeline knew it was time to resign from her day job and become a full-time missionary with International Ministries.

  • Mike and Becky Mann

    Missionaries in Thailand

Mike Mann is a global consultant for rural development, based in Northern Thailand. He serves as director of Integrated Tribal Development Program in Thailand, in addition to consulting around the world. Becky Mann helps tribal farmers and women's groups, and works with parents of special needs children. She also works with Integrated Tribal Development, helping to market Thai coffee.

  • Tom & Terry Myers

    Missionaries to Bulgaria

The Myers' Bulgaria ministry began in 2002 after being commissioned by International Ministries of the American Baptist Churches, and then moving to a private residence on the outskirts of Sofia. Tom & Terry both received degrees from Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, Tom's in Vocational Agriculture and Terry's in Graphic Design. A.J. is studying at the University of Denver, and Nathan is in his last year at an English-speaking secondary school in Sofia.

  • Dwight and Barbara Bolick

    Missionaries in Chile

The Convention of Baptist Churches-Chilean Mission invited Barbara and Dwight to serve with them in ministries of economic and leadership development. Their primary focus is with Mapuche churches in southern Chile. The goals of the Bolicks' ministries with the Mapuche are, first, recovery of identity as a people made in the image of God; and second, discovery of vocation as productive stewards of God's creation.

Karen serves as program director of the New Life Center Foundation, an NGO in northern Thailand, working with young women who are victims of or at risk for human trafficking, forced labor or sexual abuse.
