In this day of religious pluralism many groups and churches claim to be Christian worship centers and institutions. We believe there are visible marks of identity for those who call themselves followers of Jesus Christ. As a conscientious Christian church we thought it prudent to put in writing some of the basics of what we believe. The belief statements about God the Father, the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit are taken from the Nicene Creed written in 325 AD. The Nicene Creed has often been used as a statement of foundational Christian beliefs. We could have written or adopted other statements which could be more inclusive and just as Biblical as these; however, we believe by including them in our Statement of Faith we are acknowledging that the Christian church as it exists today owes a great debt of gratitude to those who have gone before us. Not all of who we are can be distilled into a Statement of Faith; however we hope what we have written will help you give voice to your own beliefs. As a church we exist to bring glory and honor to our God, and if what we have written in these brief statements has stirred a kindred spirit within you, you are most welcome to come and join us as we do the work of the Great Commission and strive to obey the Great Commandments.
(Matthew 22:37-40, 28:18-20)
