Ministry Fair

On Sunday, September 14th, First Baptist had a very special day that included a special worship service followed by a Ministry Fair in the gym. The idea for the Ministry Fair started over a month before with a small idea for a "kick-off" event to present the church to the community. As we brainstormed and prayed, the event grew and grew! It was awesome to see how God moved and brought this event together!

The Ministry Fair included many tables that represented the ministries of First Baptist. It was so amazing to look around and see everything that we do! Along with the ministry tables, games and activities were provided and a hot dog lunch was available for a donation to the parking lot fund. All of the activities seemed to be a hit. We noticed lots of kids and ADULTS participating in the "limbo" and decorating cookies. By far, the most popular kids' activity was the giant bounce house that was rented. Kids lined up constantly to take another turn in the bounce house.

Pastor Lyn did a "bang-up" job as the M.C. for fair and he kept us all smiling and enjoying each other's fellowship. Throughout the fair, there were drawings for prizes that were provided by various ministries. Probably the funniest "prize" was the roll of duct tape that was provided by the Men's Ministry.
We all smiled as Jeremiah Pate won and came forward with great excitement to accept his prize!

We are hopeful that the Ministry Fair will become an annual event at First Baptist Church. Please take time to complete the survey on our website and give us some ideas for next year!
